As OPTAVIA continues to consolidate its digital ecosystem to focus on key digital resources, we will sunset the Habits of Heath App, effective Tuesday, May 31, 2022.

The Habits of Health App was created as a digital resource for the Habits of Health Transformational System; however, since the recent launch of the OPTAVIA App, we will now focus on making continual enhancements to the OPTAVIA App, that will eventually offer many like-for-like features from the Habits of Health App.

Why is the Habits of Health App being sunset?

As OPTAVIA continues to consolidate its digital ecosystem to focus on key digital resources, we will sunset the Habits of Heath App, effective Tuesday, May 31, 2022. 

The Habits of Health App was created as a digital resource for the Habits of Health Transformational System; however, since the recent launch of the OPTAVIA App, we will now focus on making continual enhancements to the OPTAVIA App, that will eventually offer many like-for-like features from the Habits of Health App. 


What will replace the Habits of Health App?

The OPTAVIA App, launched last year, is the future for OPTAVIA’s Client Community, intended to be the go-to resource for OPTAVIA Clients, providing the capabilities and a suite of features to support them on their journey to optimal health and wellbeing. The OPTAVIA App is now available for download in the App (Apple) and Google Play (Android) stores. 


Will like-for-like features of the Habits of Health App be integrated into the OPTAVIA App?

Yes, new features from the Habits of Health App will be integrated into the OPTAVIA App with regular enhancements to ensure a seamless user experience that integrates with other OPTAVIA systems, including a single sign-on.  

To date, the App provides self-service capabilities for Clients, an extensive library of plan-approved Lean & Green recipes, a weight tracker, and the ability to share and communicate with independent OPTAVIA Coaches.  

While the existing version of the OPTAVIA App does not include every tool from the Habits of Health App, we will add tools to the App that track the Habits of Healthy Eating, Healthy Hydration, and Healthy Motion by the end of year. 


When will the Habits of Health App be removed from App stores?

As of Wednesday, June 1, 2022, the Habits of Health App will no longer be available for download in either the App (App) or Google Play (Android) stores. 

If an OPTAVIA Client attempts to download the Habits of Health App in either App store, it will not download, or the App will disappear from both stores altogether.  


What if an OPTAVIA Client has already downloaded the Habits of Health App?

As of Wednesday, June 1, 2022, an existing App user will no longer receive support for features that aren’t functional. 

By Wednesday, June 8, 2022, the Habits of Health App will not load from any device, however, we are providing an extra week for current users to capture any data from the App that they wish to save.  


Will business materials be updated for OPTAVIA Coaches and Clients?

In addition to our printed business materials, several core touchpoints will also be affected by this adjustment, such as OPTAVIA.com and OPTAVIA COACH & CLIENT ANSWERS. Updates and changes will start in early June; however, additional content may take longer to update. Continuous efforts will follow into the remainder of the year to ensure an optimal Client experience.
