What is the Business Builder Bonus?
Business Builder Bonus is a time to welcome New OPTAVIA Coaches, expand the OPTAVIA Community, our mission of lifelong transformation, and teach the fundamental skills of Client acquisition and support.
How can you potentially earn the Business Builder Bonus?
To potentially qualify for the Business Builder Bonus, an independent OPTAVIA Coach must generate a minimum of 1,200 in Frontline Qualifying Volume (FQV) in a Monthly Bonus Period to be eligible to participate in this incentive.
This initiative rewards New Coach sponsoring with activity. There are two qualification periods:
- Business Coaches MUST sponsor New Coaches from 12:00 AM PT Thursday, July 1, 2021 – Sunday, August 31, 2021, at 11:59 PM PT.
- Business Coaches can potentially earn incentives if they help transfer the fundamental skill of Client acquisition and support to their New Coaches and their New Coaches have FCV in the Monthly Bonus Periods of August, September, or October.
An independent OPTAVIA Coach must also generate a minimum of 1,200 in Frontline Qualifying Volume (FQV) in a Monthly Bonus Period.

How do you define a new OPTAVIA Coach?
A New OPTAVIA Coach is defined as an individual who has never purchased an OPTAVIA Business Kit.
How do you define an independent OPTAVIA Coach?
An OPTAVIA Coach is defined as an individual who has purchased an OPTAVIA Business Kit and who is in good standing and without disciplinary action (i.e., in compliance with the OPTAVIA Official Policies, Procedures, Independent OPTAVIA Coach Agreement, and Integrated Compensation Plan).
How do you define a “Sponsoring Coach” in Business Builder Bonus?
A “Sponsoring Coach” is defined as an individual who has personally sponsored a New Coach during the Business Builder Bonus sponsoring period, from 12:00 a.m. PT July 1, 2021, to 11:59 p.m. PT on August 31, 2021.
How do Frontline Qualifying Volume (FQV) and Frontline Compensation Volume (FCV) impact my monthly bonus?
The amount of FQV generated by the sponsoring Coach determines the percentage of the Business Builder Bonus paid to the sponsoring Coach in any given monthly bonus period.
Once a sponsoring Coach reaches a certain FQV threshold, that sponsoring Coach will earn a corresponding percentage of the FCV of New Coaches personally sponsored by that Coach during the sponsoring period. The Bonus is calculated by multiplying the corresponding percentage by the combined FCV of eligible New Coaches that were sponsored.
For example, a sponsoring Coach has 1,200 FQV in August and sponsors a New Coach during the sponsoring period; the New Coach generates 400 FCV in August. In this example, the sponsoring Coach will receive a $20.00 bonus for the month of August (5% of 400 FCV = $20.00).
How can I track my bonuses in OPTAVIA CONNECT?
OPTAVIA Coaches can access two Business Builder Bonus reports on OPTAVIA CONNECT. This reporting allows OPTAVIA Coaches to determine earnings via the “Your Performance” section.
When will reporting be available in OPTAVIA CONNECT?
Initial Business Builder Bonus reporting will be available in CONNECT on Friday, August 6, 2021.
How do I view my Business Builder Bonus earnings?
To view Business Builder Bonus earnings, follow this process:
- Log into OPTAVIA CONNECT.
- Click Engage from the top navigational bar.
- Click Your Performance from the left side menu.
- Select Monthly Bonus from the commission summary and then select commission period from the drop-down menu.
When will Business Coaches receive their bonus earnings?
The monthly bonus earnings will be paid on/about the 15th of each month of the incentive.
Is the Business Builder Bonus available to OPTAVIA Coaches in Hong Kong and Singapore?
No, OPTAVIA Coaches in Hong Kong and Singapore cannot participate in the US incentive because its Business Builder Bonus is already available to Hong Kong and Singapore Coaches year-round, per the International Compensation Plan. Please note that the FQV requirements under the International Compensation Plan differ from the FQV requirements of this US incentive).
